John Paul Pemberton, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born August 4, 1940 in Vian, Oklahoma to the late John Ira Pemberton and Ocie (Martin) Pemberton. He was 75 years old.

John was a retired truck driver for G T Transportation Services in Van Buren. He was an U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran, and was of the Free Will Baptist faith.

Memorial service will be at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Ena (Boyd) Pemberton; two daughters, Teresa and husband Dr. Bill Burt of Springdale and Carmen Owens of Charleston; one son, Michael Wayne Pemberton and wife Amanda of Cedarville; (14) grandchildren and (9) great-grandchildren.
