John Oral Parker of Barling, Arkansas, died Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on February 11, 1959, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Rev. Bennie Parker and Essie (Harris) Parker. He was 66 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, BenEdna Brooks; and a half-brother, Felix Randolph.

For 33 years, John was a retired Quality Assurance specialist for Mac Steel, Inc. in Fort Smith and was currently a transportation assistant for Fort Smith Public School System.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia (Bennett) Parker; his son, Dustin Parker of Fort Smith; a brother, Rev. Benjamin Elvis Parker and wife Beverly of Jacksonville, Arkansas; a half-brother, Bennie Eagles of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Rowyn Parker and Kennedy Parker, both of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
