Obituary

Christopher John McCombs resided in Charleston, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, February 9, 2009, at Select Speciality Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born June 17, 1953, in Paris to Harold Joseph McCombs and Florence Florentine Etzkorn McCombs. He was 55 years old.

He was a self-employed truck driver, served in the Army National Guard, and was a member of the St. Benedict Catholic Church in Subiaco.

He is preceded in death by his father, Harold McCombs and one brother, Bud McCombs.

Rosary service will be 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 13, 2009, at the Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston.

Funeral Mass service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 14, 2009, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston, burial at Parks Cemetery, "With Military Honors" in Charleston, under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Darlene McCombs, of Charleston; two daughters, Amanda McCombs of Ozark and Kimberly McCombs of Fort Smith; two sons, Jason McCombs of Ozark and Scott McCombs of Cecil; his mother, Florence McCombs of Paris; five sisters, Ann Ewing of Dardanelle, Betty Kay Koch of Paris, Mary Caroline Beshoner of Paris, Judy Strobel of Little Rock and Lisa Bennett of Hot Springs; three brothers, David McCombs, Michael McCombs, and Dennis McCombs, all of Subiaco and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Heath, Ashley, Reece, and Eric McCombs, Brian Koch, Aaron Strobel and Casey White.

The family will visit with friends following the Rosary service.
