John David Council resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010 in Little Rock. He was born April 11, 1947 in Charleston to the late John Brewer "J.B." Council and Nina Mae (Mathews) Council. He was 63 years old.

John David was retired, a graduate of the Arkansas School for the Deaf in Little Rock, and was a member of the Van Buren Church of the Nazarene.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 30th at the Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Rev. Mark Sanford officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, northeast of Branch, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

He is survived by one daughter, Kathy Clark & husband Chris of Spring Branch, Texas; two sisters, Donna Slone of Fayetteville and Virginia Dennie & husband James of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Travis, Aaron, and Jake; one niece and three nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Slone, Leslie Dennie, Robby Dennie, Fred Schaffer, Billy Bagwell, and Tyrell Patton.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday night at the funeral home.
