Obituary

John C. Cameron, who resided in Fort Smith, Arkansas, formerly of Paris, Arkansas, died Friday, December 25, 2020, in Fort Smith. He was born October 20, 1948, in Paris, to the late Alva Ray Cameron and Eva Lee Harger Cameron. He was 72 years old.

John was an elementary school teacher for several years at County Line Public Schools near Branch before becoming disabled. He was loved by many of his co-workers and students.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2nd, at Baxley Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

He is survived by his children, Amber Portolesi and husband Anthony of Palm Desert, California, and Damon Cameron and wife Kim of La Quinta, California; his sister, Joyce Beshears of Fort Smith; five grandchildren.

There will not be a public viewing or family visitation. You are invited to stop by and sign a register book at the funeral home in Paris from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
