Obituary

Johnnie Ray Bell, who resided in Barling, Arkansas, died Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Heart of Hospice Palliative Care Unit in Fort Smith. He was born July 14, 1950, in Bakersfield, California, to the late John Bell and Ellen Coldiron Bell. He was 70 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Kay Bagwell Bell.

John was a mechanic and was owner and operator of John Bell Automotive in Charleston for several years. He served his country while being enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.

A private family graveside service will by held Wednesday, June 2nd, at Nixon Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by a son, Frankie Jameson and wife Heidi of Clewiston, Florida; a daughter, Melissa Brady and husband Patrick of Charleston; a brother, Gary Bell and wife Tammy of Oklahoma; his sisters, Sherry Munsell and husband Gary of Oklahoma, Carol Hicks and husband Andy of California, and Donna; three grandchildren, Dusty Jameson, Warren Brady, and Frank Jameson Butler; two great-grandchildren, Paxton and Dashiell.

Pallbearers are Ronnie Joe, Wade Atchley, Chase Robinson, William Labuda, Frankie Jameson, and Dusty Jameson.

Public viewing will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1st, with the family visiting with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Charleston Senior Citizens Center, 222, N. Vine St. Charleston, AR  72933.
