Joey Sam Schoggins of Arkoma, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on October 1, 1964, in McAlester, Oklahoma, to the late Floyd Charles Schoggins and Sammie Carol Fannin Schoggins. He was 59 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Carolyn Bell Pinkney; and two brothers, Gary Schoggins and Howard Schoggins.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia "Trish" (Mullins) Schoggins; a daughter, Candice Schoggins and companion Eric Walker of Arkoma; a son, Branden Schoggins and wife Elise of Fort Smith; three sisters, Kitten Schoggins of Krebs, Oklahoma, Tadpole Harrison and Biggen Harrison, both of McAlester; three brothers, Robert Schoggins of McAlester, Tim Schoggins of Arkoma and Jeff Harrison of McAlester; and four grandchildren, Lezlie Schoggins, Dylan Schoggins, Everlee Walker and Nicholas Walker.
