Joe L. Ward, 87, of Lavaca, Arkansas, died Saturday, April 14, 2007 in his home. He was born in Bloomer, Arkansas. He was a retired Brick Mason for Manhatton Concstruction Company,; an Army Air Corp of World War II, member of the United Brick Masons Union and a 50 year member of The First United Methodist Church in Lavaca.

Funeral will be 10:00 a.m Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at The Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Interment will be in Oak Valley Cemetery, south of Lavaca on Hwy 96.

He is survived by his wife; Muriel Ward, one daughter; Carole Moore of Ft.Smith, three sons; Larry Ward of Greenbrier,AR., Bruce Ward of Hope, AR., Dr. Bob Ward of Lavaca, AR., two sisters; Dorothy Been of Ft. Smith, AR., Wanda Jones of Ft. Smith, AR., one brother; Roger Ward of Ft. Smith, AR., (9) Grandchildren, (12) Great-Grandchildren, and (1) Great-Great Grandchild.
