Joe Richard Milum, a resident of Paris, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born December 20, 1948, in Paris to the late Clifford (Jack) Milum and Beulah (Phillips) Milum. He was 69 years old. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior before his death. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford Milum and Charles J. Milum.
He was educated at Booker T. Washington School in Gray Rock. Richard loved to play baseball in school and he was a great player. His nick-name was "Joe Blow" because he hit so hard. After school, he went to work at the rendering plant in Gray Rock until it closed. He retired from Tyson Foods, Inc. in Clarksville after 27 years. Richard was a very giving, happy, and fun loving person who would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. He loved his family. Every year when pecan season came, he would make sure everyone had some if they wanted them and always made sure his family in Ohio got some. He kept his nose to the grind stone about whatever went on in his community. He loved Gray Rock and would sit on the corner with friends as if he was keeping watch over his community. Richard is already missed.
