Joe W. Miller, who resided in Central City, Arkansas, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at his home. He was born August 23, 1926 in Sebastian County, Arkansas near Bloomer to the late Charlie Evans Miller and Maude (Berry) Miller. He was 86 years old.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty; two sisters, Vena Cook and Ruby Durham, and two brothers, C.A. Boone Miller and Bernie Miller.
Joe was a retired photographer for Whirlpool, Inc. in Fort Smith. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He was a professional photographer for 50 years and was owner and operator of Miller Studios in Central City, and was a life member of the NRA.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 15th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with John Neihouse officiating. Burial will be at Parks Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
He is survived by two daughters, Kay Speer and Lynne Bartholomew, both of Bloomer; one son, A.E. "Tom" Miller and companion Terri, of Charleston; one granddaughter, Heather Coughran of Roland, Oklahoma; one great-grandson, Noah; his companion, Linda Bowman of Fort Smith; his extended family, Jeremy and Shavona Murphy of Prairie Grove, Amy Brooks and Kiko of Bloomer, Sarah Brooks, Jessica James, and Jonathan James of Bloomer, and Kolby Rasmussen of Lavaca.
Pallbearers will be Richard Watson, Jimmy Belue, Gary Bromley, Kiko Sanders, Jeremy Davies, and Kolby Rasmussen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Robinson, Roma Lee Brittian, and Manuel Neal.
Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
