Obituary

JoAnn Brown, who resided in Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021, at her daughter's home near Lavaca. She was born November 12, 1942, in Aberdeen, Mississippi, to the late Loyd Eugene Belue and Bernice Pounders Belue. She was 78 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Brown, and her brother, Cecil Belue.

JoAnn, along with her husband Elmo, was co-owner & operator of Fort Smith Janitorial Service. She also worked several years at Walmart, was a member of the Eagles Club, and attended Northside United Pentecostal Church in Fort Smith.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 13th at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola, Oklahoma, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by three daughters, Debbie Griffin and husband Joe, Tina Brewer and husband Barry, and Terri Arredondo and husband Michael, all of Lavaca; a son, Eddie Bowen of New Caney, Texas; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Ryan Moore, Ryan Chronister, Andy Griffin, Tyler Arredondo, Phillip Neblick, and Kevin Arredondo.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on  Monday, July 12th at the funeral home.
