Joan Lee Caudell, who resided in Ratcliff, Arkansas, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born June 24, 1933, in Homer, Louisiana to the late Lucian M. Mills and Pearl (Martin) Mills. She was 83 years old. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Regina Miner.
Joan was a homemaker and she also retired as a quality control employee at Tyson Mexican Original Foods in Fayetteville. Joan was a member of Brooklyn Freewill Baptist Church near Ratcliff.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26th, at Brooklyn Freewill Baptist Church, located near Ratcliff, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston. Officiating the service will be the Rev. J.L. Bonds. Her body will be cremated following the funeral service.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, George W. Caudell; one daughter, Teresa Singleton and husband Terence of Fayetteville; two sons, Dwight Miner and wife Ruth of Harrison and Frank Miner and wife Alana of Eldon, Missouri; two step-daughters, Ranita Wyatt of Orlando, Florida and Robin Casteal and husband Tim of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; two step-sons, Randall Caudell of Fayetteville and Harold Caudell of West Fork; three sisters, Lucian Lee, Reva Mills and Dixie Mills, all of Fayetteville; (20) grandchildren, (27) great-grandchildren, and (5) great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Miner, Brent Singleton, Kaleb Miner, Johnny Dean, Dallin Miner and Roman Blackheart.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Sean Miner, Shane Miner, Cody Miner and Jeremy Miner.
Family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home in Charleston.
