Jo Marlene Whisenant of Atkins, Arkansas, died Friday, April 7, 2023, at Atkins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Atkins.  She was born on July 30, 1939, in Harrison, Arkansas, to the late Wilbur Carlton and Dorothy Casey. She was 83 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Joseph Monroe Whisenant.

Jo was a homemaker and was of the protestant faith.

A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 11th at Baxley Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

She is survived by a son, Larry (Kathy) Whisenant of Nashville, Tennessee; three daughters, Theresa Kitting of Wasilla, Alaska, Debi Vogelsberg of Shawnee, Kansas, and Penny (John) Chaffin of Atkins; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
