Obituary

Jimmie McKinley Gray, who resided near Branch, Arkansas, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018, at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston. He was born April 18, 1929, in Creek County, Oklahoma, to the late William "Max" Gray and Dottie Maxine (Bell) Gray. He was 89 years old. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Gloria "Teta" McMillan.

Jimmie along with his wife Eleanor, was the owner & operator of Gray's Feed Mill in Branch. He was a deacon and a faithful member of Branch First Baptist Church. Jimmie loved JESUS, his wife, his family, his church, his church family, and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 30th, at First Baptist Church in Branch, with Bro. Tim Hobbs and Bro. Ron Williamson officiating. Special music will be by Dwayne Hopkins, Clinton Bottoms, Phillip Wyatt, Bro. Tim Hobbs and Sheila Carson. Christian burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of almost 69 years, Eleanor (Schuchert) Gray; two daughters, Diane Mainer and husband Mick of Caulksville and Debbie Chastain and husband Dennis of Bentonville; four grandchildren, Amy Mileham and husband Toby, Andy Chastain and wife Kayre, Joy Sharp and husband Ted, and Aaron Chastain and wife Lori; eight great-grandchildren, all of whom loved their grampa. He was also survived by his nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Garland Mays, Norman Martin, Gary Stubblefield, Ronnie Stubblefield, Mike Dunn, and Manuel Neal.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home in Charleston.
