Obituary

Jessie Lee King, who resided on Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 in Charleston. She was born March 1, 1923 in Vesta, Arkansas in Franklin County to the late James Monroe Milam and Albertha (Pruitt) Milam. She was 91 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Dudley King; six sisters and six brothers.

Jessie was a homemaker, member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and member of Northside Baptist Church in Charleston.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 23rd, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Terry Scott officiating. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Cox of Paris and Cindy Hewitt and husband Kenny of Charleston; one son, Earl Dean King of Charleston; one sister, Drucille Arnold of Lake Wood, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Tonja Smith, Kelly Barnard, Brian King, Ian Hewitt, Ryan Hewitt, Brandi Cox, and Justin Cox; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike Townsend, Jim Milam, John Milam, Curtis Milam, Kenneth Dillard, and Gene Alvin Robertson.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society or Children's Hospital in Little Rock.
