Jerry Wayne Scallions of Charleston, Arkansas, died Monday, July 25, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on December 19, 1945, in Luxora, Arkansas, in Mississippi County, to the late John Scallions and Margaret Jewell (Sorrell) Scallions Dew. He was 76 years old. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Logan Eli Scallions; a sister, Peggy Anderson; and three brothers, Wesley, Odell, and Kenneth Scallions.
Jerry was a retired truck driver for Tyson Foods, Inc.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30th at Nixon Cemetery in Charleston, with the Rev. Darrell Johnson officiating. All services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marsha (Laux) Scallions; two daughters, Tammy Rice and husband David of Charleston and Sherri Roberds and husband Brady of Fort Smith; his son, Bubba Scallions of Charleston; three sisters, Virginia Jones of Beaumont, Texas, Patricia Nelson of Wisconsin, and Nora Rosencrans of Florida; two brothers, Bill Scallions of Paris and Terry Scallions and wife Linda of Florida; seven grandchildren, Abby Davis, Blake Metcalf, Paige Sampley, McKale Scallions, Dalton Roberds, Brooklyn Scallions, and Madlyn Scallions; seven great-grandchildren, Carver Sampley, Pierson Sampley, Walker Sampley, Stratton Sampley, Marshall Metcalf, Miles Metcalf, and Leilani Biggers.
Pallbearers are David Rice, Brady Roberds, Blake Metcalf, Dalton Roberds, Ryan Davis, Austin Sampley and McKale Scallions.
Public viewing will be from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 29th at the funeral home.
