Jerald Joseph Davies of Barling, Arkansas, died Friday, November 10, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on March 5, 1937, in Seattle, Washington, to the late Joseph Davies and June Walker Davies. He was 86 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia Martin.

In his early years, Jerald worked in auto parts and delivery for Sears. He was a member and past president of the Elks Lodge and was an U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his two sons, Michael Davies of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Jeremy Davies of Barling; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
