Obituary

Jeffrey Alan Carney, who resided in Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020, at his home. He was born November 15, 1968, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Billy Joe Carney and Alice Elaine Moore Carney. He was 52 years old. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Carney.

Jeff served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a 1987 graduate of Greenwood High School, and attended Eastside Baptist Church in Fort Smith.

Memorial graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 15th, at Oak Valley Cemetery, located south of Lavaca, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston. An open visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 14th, at the funeral home. Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, please wear a mask before entering the funeral home and at the graveside service. Your cooperation is very much appreciated at this time.

He is survived by a daughter, Haven Carney of Arizona; his mother, Elaine Carney of Lavaca; and a brother, John Carney.

Cremation and memorial services arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
