Jean Ezernack, 95, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her dearly loved son, Richard Grady Ezernack of Houston, Texas, with whom she is now reunited.

Jean was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was loved by all who knew her for her loving kindness and generosity. Everyone was warmly welcomed into her home. Always hardworking and always busy doing something for someone else like sewing, crocheting, and quilting. She loved her gardens and plants and spent many hours outdoors tending to them. In her professional career, Jean worked as a surgical appliance fitter. Jean was a long time member of Grawood Baptist Church in Keithville, Louisiana.

She is survived by her daughters, Marion Wright of Austin, Texas, Phyllis Ezernack of Fort Smith, and Trudy Wurzburger of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Bob Freeman of Las Vegas, Nevada and John Freeman of Summit, Mississippi; a sister, Frances Sayes of Dallas, Texas; her grandchildren, Gina Wright, Mark McGinnis, Julie Wright, James Ezernack, and Charles Ezernack; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members, all who loved her dearly. A special thank you to Ferrel and Denia Owens and Carol Lample for all their love and extraordinary care and support over the years.
