Jesse Dale "J.D." House, who resided in Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born March 27, 1942, in the Arbuckle Community near Lavaca to the late Jessie D. House and Clara Ellen (Elkins) House. He was 74 years old. He was also preceded in death by one son, Kenny Keith; three sisters, Delca Hewitt, Eunice Waggoner, and Wilma Watson; one brother, Woody House.
J.D. was a supervisor for Pradco, Inc. in Fort Smith, Hickory Springs Manufacturing Co. in Fort Smith, and Leggett & Platt, Inc. in Van Buren. J.D. was a member of Lavaca First Baptist Church.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11th, at Measles Cemetery in Lavaca, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife of almost 53 years, Delores (Hewitt) House; one daughter, Kim Blackford and husband James of Lavaca; one son, Johnny House of Lavaca; two sisters, Betty Berry and husband Sidney of Bloomer and Connie Cox and husband Ronnie of Fort Smith; six grandchildren, Ruben Dampier, Jr., Bobbie Montiel, Kenny Keith, Jesse Young, Ryan Blackford, and Jordan Blackford; nine great-grandchildren.
Family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home in Charleston.
