William Jay Wetherington of Van Buren, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Mercy in Fort Smith. He was born March 20, 1960, in Altus, Oklahoma, to the late Jonathan Daniel Wetherington, Sr and Mildred Waynette (McNabb) Wetherington. He was 64 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Harry and Viola Wetherington, Clyde and Cloie McNabb, and Artie and Ruth Gaborc.

He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Renee Steele, Margaret Mariah-Hope, and Brandy Jo Morgan; his sons, Dylan Mitchell Wetherington and Jordan Houston Morgan; two sisters, Tammy Jean Price and Karen Lynne Epps; a brother, Jonathan Daniel Wetherington, Jr; five grandchildren, Kellie Grace Steele, Barret Logan Steele, Jeremiah Augustus Morgan, Asher Cole Wetherington, and Cooper Dean Wetherington; many nieces and nephews, Dustin Jade Wetherington; Ashley and Roxy Morgan; Brandon, Abby and Jamie Price; Kemberley and Jon Ochetti; Zachery, Kayla, Braylee, and Braxton Dishman; Karlie Mat, Everett and Easton Stephenson; Kerstie, Zach, Emma and Stella Highfill; Summer Epps, and Diane Gaborc; and close family friends, Sue Heath Thomure and Mary Jo Tannehill.
