Janie Grissom Fultz resided at Scranton, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, December 6, 2008, at the Johnson Regional Medical Center in Clarksville. She was born March 5, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Arvel Grissom & Pauline Spellins Grissom. She was 63 years old.
She was a retired licensed practical nurse of 20 years at the Johnson Regional Medical Hospital- Emergency Room in Clarksville and 1 1/2 years at the Johnson County Surgery Clinic in Clarksville.
She is preceded in death by her husband, David Fultz, in February 2008.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at the Dublin Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Shane Kasper officiating, with burial at the Prairie View Cemetery in Prairie View, under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
She is survived by two daughters, Taressa Young and husband Bill of Springtown, Texas and Sondra Benge and husband Steve of New Blaine; two sons, Wally Street and wife Dena of Scranton and Gary Fultz and wife Heather of Corby, England; her father and mother, Arvel and Pauline Grissom of Scranton; one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Janet Grissom of Scranton; six grandsons, Nathan and Matthew McDonald of Scranton, David and wife April and Derek Young of Springtown, Texas, Joshua Street of Scranton and Glen Fultz of Corby, England; two granddaughters, Shayna McDonald of Clarksville and Libby Fultz of Corby, England; one great-grandson, Preston Neuman of California and two great-granddaughters Ellianna Jane of Clarksville and Adilee Michelle Marcaletti of Clarksville.
Pallbearers will be brothers-in-law and grandsons, Jesse Fultz, Larry Fultz, Randy Allen, Matthew McDonald, Nathan McDonald, David Young and Derek Young.
Honorary pallbearers will be nurses past and present of the emergency room and paramedics, Debbie Clayborn, Anita Kremer, Deana Yates, Jennifer Hillis, Alyson Allred, Mike Helms, Milton Teal, Freddie Lindsey, Dennis Hyder, Christa English, Mike Smith, Tom Ramsey and Linda Rehland from Lab.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. today at the funeral home in Paris.
