Jane Ann Cook, who resided in Sherwood, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born May 30, 1940, in Lavaca, Arkansas to the late Hamp Floyd and Edna (Jameson) Floyd. She was 75 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Billy Joe "Bill" Cook; one sister, Laveda Laymance; and one brother, Charles Floyd.
Jane was a 1958 graduate of Lavaca High School, and she was a homemaker.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Vondal Davenport officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Ridge Cemetery, located north of Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
She is survived by two daughters, Kayla Cook-Cossey and husband Roger of Sherwood and Jana Cook of Little Rock; one son, Daniel Cook and wife Debra of Sherwood; three sisters, Wanda Honea of Greenwood, Juanita Stamper of Lavaca, and Barbara Dalrymple of Hubbard, Oregon; five grandchildren, Caytrin, Ashley, and Samantha Swoape and Alana and Ian Cook; her best friend, Claudette Pearson of Sherwood.
Honorary pallbearers will be Frank, Doyle, Donald, and Terry Cook.
Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home.
