Jane Ellen Broaddrick, formerly of Charleston, Arkansas, went home to be with Jesus her Savior on Monday, September 4, 2023, in Richmond, Virginia. She was born on August 6, 1937, in Coal Hill, Arkansas, to the late William Cecil and Daisy Lee (Domrese) Sams. She was 86 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Broaddrick; a sister, Mary Thrasher; and a niece, Carolyn Whitten.

Jane was a nurse and after retirement, a private health caregiver. Jane loves Jesus, and she actively served in church before her health began to decline. She wanted everyone to know that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. The only way to heaven is through personal faith in Jesus Christ. Jane loved music and dancing, walking, reading inspirational stories, laughter, and studying the Bible.  She enjoyed dressing up and looking sharp. She loved her beautiful family, her church family, and her friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 11th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Tim Hobbs officiating the service. Burial will follow at Cecil Cemetery in Cecil, Arkansas, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston. The family will visit with friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Monday morning prior to the service.

She is survived by two sons, James Trent King and wife Sheri of Cecil and Garrison Blane King and wife Faith of Montpelier, Virginia; her five grandchildren, Brian King and wife Ashley, Joshua King and wife Vanessa, Holly King, Tony King, and Hannah King; her step-grandchildren, Andy Crawford and wife Keisha of Hatfield, Bryan Crawford and wife Casey of Cecil, and Brittany Crawford of Skiatook, Oklahoma; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild expected to arrive in February 2024.

Serving as pallbearers will be family members.
