James William Willet of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Saturday, December 7, 2024, in Fort Smith. He was born on September 25, 1973, in Poteau, Oklahoma, to the late Luther MacArthur Willet and Linda Joyce (Bartley) Willet. He was 51 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Carla.

He is survived by his children, Dakota Willet and wife JoAnna Laymon of Fort Smith and Kaitlyn Willet of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; two sisters, Patrenia Pound of Fort Smith and Melinda Willet of Vian, Oklahoma; a brother, Dewayne Willet of Arkoma, Oklahoma; and three grandchildren, Bryer, John and Carter.
