James Michael Santos, who resided in Fort Smith, died Friday, December 6, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born March 4, 1957, in Washington, to Jose Rosario Santos and Onda (Fuller) Santos. He was 62 years old. He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Onda Ruth Press.

Michael was a mechanic and served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by a son, Nicholas James Santos; a daughter, Heather Marie Guteriz; his father, Jose Santos; a sister, Kristina Santos; six grandchildren, Desertie Guteriz, Trevor Santos, Haylie Guteriz, Raul Guteriz, Kaylee Elizabeth Santos, and Conner James Santos.
