James Wayne Putman of Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on June 6, 1959, in Searcy, Arkansas, to the late Jess Stanley Putman, Jr. and Linda Lou (Stephens) Putman. He was 64 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sheila Diane (McDonald) Putman; and a son, Bobby Rodriguez.

James was an electrician and previously worked for Wilbert Vault Company. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is survived by two sons, Leonard Rodriguez and wife Savannah of Lavaca and Tony Rodriguez and wife Patricia of Fort Polk, Louisiana; two brothers, Robert Putman and Paul Putman and wife Shannon, all of Searcy, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; a niece, Blakely Putman; and nephew, Mason Putman.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
