Obituary

James Logan, 81, of Scranton, AR, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, in his home. He was born January 9, 1927, in Paris, AR. He was a paint maker for Sherwin-Williams Paint Co. in Emeryvill, CA, and was a member of the First Assembly of God in Paris.

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at The First Assembly of God Church in Paris. Burial will be at Poole Cemetery, north of Subiaco.

He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Logan, of the home; six daughters, Renee Hooker of Fairfield, CA, Alesia Thomas of Houston, TX, Yvette Elarms of San Jose, CA, Jerita Whitehead of Pinole, CA, Freya Logan of San Leanora, CA, and Avis Logan of Castro Valley, CA; two sons, James Logan of Westchester, PA, and Christian Logan of Oakland, CA; five sisters, Pauletha Webster of Springfield, IL, Mary Ella Ellingberg of Fort Smith, Christina Hawkins of Scranton, Mary Elizabeth Thomas of Broken Arrow, OK, and Jean Williams of Kansas City, MO; four brothers, Buford Logan, Joshua Logan, and Lereay Logan all of Kansas City, MO, and Harold Logan of Lavaca; nineteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Lester Poole, Ray Whitehead, Lorenzo Hooker, Bobby Timmons, Bob Featherston, and James Logan.

Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
