James Edward Kennedy of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Sunday, September 29, 2024, at his residence. He was born on January 9, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late James D. Kennedy and Patricia Ann (McCarthy) Kennedy. He was 69 years old.

James was a retired registered nurse.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn (Bradley) Kennedy; two daughters, Allison McFate of Fort Smith and Meghan Fujibayashi and Matthew Ball of Greenwood; four sons, Ross Fujibayashi and Melanie of Greenwood, Sean Kennedy of Virginia, David Kennedy of Berwyn, Illinois, and Michael McFate of Fort Smith; and seven grandchildren.
