James Robert Hurley, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at his home.  He was born March 30, 1996, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Randy Dean Hurley and Jessica Leanne Stokes.  He was 22 years old.  He was preceded in death by his father, Randy Hurley; his grandparents, Orville Hurley and Darvin and Violette Frost.

James was a graduate of Magazine High School and employed by Sykes in Fort Smith.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Branch.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2018, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Janet Barrow officiating.  Burial will be at Hampton Cemetery, located north of Branch, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his parents, Brian and Jessica Ross of Charleston; a sister, Alexie Leanna Ross of the home; two brothers, Randy Dean Hurley II and Jesse Lee Hurley of Branch; his grandmothers, Margaret Hurley and Joyce Overton.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Zimmer, J. B. Turner, Zachary Jones, Lucas Young, Ralph Reed, and John Turner.

Family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30th at the funeral home.
