Obituary

James Marlin Flock of Paris, Arkansas, died Friday, April 14, 2023, at Paris Health and Rehab Center. He was born on May 29, 1938, in Subiaco, Arkansas, to the late James Edward Flock and Ruby Jewell (Berry) Flock. He was 84 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edna (Plank) Flock; and a brother, Leonard Leon Flock.

James was a 1958 graduate of Scranton High School and served in the U.S. Army.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 19th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Reba Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Ellsworth Cemetery near Subiaco, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

He is survived by two daughters, Deanna Aiken of Jackson, Michigan, and Donna Studdard of Sullivan, Missouri; a son, Richard Plank of Springfield, Missouri; two sisters, Loretta Thom and husband Larry of Pocola, Oklahoma, and Wilma Houser and husband Troy of Scranton; six grandchildren; two nieces, Holly Edwards and Connie Riley; and three nephews, Dennis Flock, Michael Thom, and David Thom.

Pallbearers will be David Berry, Leonard Berry, Bill Appleton, Johnny Chandler, Billy Joe Thompson, and Harold Thomas Thompson.

The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday an hour prior to the services.
