James Edwin Cunningham, who resided near Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018, at his home. He was born September 28, 1982, in Walnut Creek, California, to Michael James Cunningham and Dana Jo (Hill) Cunningham. He was 36 years old.

James was a technical operator and group leader at Gerber in Fort Smith for 14 years. He was the youth minister at Branch First Baptist Church and a soul winner for Jesus. He was a 2001 graduate of Paris High School, loved hunting and fishing, and was an active member of First Baptist Church in Branch. James loved his wife, daughter, family, and friends, and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 28th, at First Baptist Church in Branch, with the Rev. Tim Hobbs officiating. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of almost 15 years, Rebecca (Cannon) Cunningham; his daughter, Mercy Cunningham; his father and mother, Mike and Dana Cunningham of Subiaco; his twin brother, Loren Cunningham of 29 Palms, California; his grandparents, Jim and Marcia Cunningham of Paris; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and sister-in-laws.

Pallbearers will be Teddy Qualls, Dusty Wright, Chris Russell, David Jones, Jeremiah Ellis and Michael Lloyd.

Honorary pallbearers will be the youth group at First Baptist Church in Branch.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home.
