Obituary

James Hogan Colley, 74, of Charleston was born Oct. 11, 1932, in Cameron to Lee Colley and Alice Stroud Colley. They left Oklahoma and went to Lathrope, Calif. There he met and married Claudine "Bobbie" Fautt. He was stationed in San Francisco when the Army which he was a sergeant first class medic sent him to Korea. When he returned he and "Bobbie," his nickname for his wife, served at the Presidio, had three of their four children, then was told he was going to Frankfort, Germany. This time his family went with him. When he returned from Germany, he took his family to Fort Smith where he was stationed at Fort Chaffee for a total of nine years. He and Bobbie had another son and their family was complete. They settled in Fort Smith where he owned and operated two full-service gas stations for several years. He took a job with Public Relations Institute out of Gastonia, N.C., traveling five states. He sold Bibles, The Book of Life Series and The Master Library Series.
