Jack Joe Brown, who resided near Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born January 28, 1927, in Eureka, Kansas to the late Jessie Brown and Bessie (Smith) Brown. He was 91 years old. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patti Crosson; two sons, Jackie Brown and Ricky Brown, Sr.; two grandsons, Ricky Brown, Jr. and Michael Brown; one great-great-grandson, Michael Boeson.
Jack was a retired painter and he was an U.S. Coast Guard veteran of WWII.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 16th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Burial will be at Parks Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Loretha (Allison) Brown; one son, Kenneth Brown and wife Connie of Lavaca; four grandchildren, Rhonda Boeson, Kenneth Brown, Jr., Penny Douglas, and Tamara Schurer; five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home.
