Coy Jack Bonds, who resided near Cecil, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025, at his home. He was born on August 29, 1943, in the Oak Bend Community in Franklin County to the late Rudy C. Bonds and Melba A. (Walker) Bonds. He was 81 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Avery Mantooth.
Jack was a 1961 graduate of County Line High School. For 24 years Jack was a dairy farmer and was a poultry farmer for 42 years. He served in the National Guard and was a member of Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Jack loved working on the farm, gardening, and was a proud supporter of County Line Basketball. He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 9th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Bill VanMeter officiating. Burial will follow at Cemetery Ridge Cemetery, located south of Ozark, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Darlene (Cagle) Bonds; a daughter, Christa Littlefield and husband J.P. of Cecil; a son, Randal Bonds and wife Candy of Cecil; a brother, Earl Bonds of Ozark; three sisters, Willa Pruitt and Carol Willhite, both of Ozark, and Ione Daniels of Clarksville; his grandchildren, Harlee Haney and husband Derrick of Alma, Dillon Bonds and wife Sierra, and Kalli Bonds, all of Ozark, Jaci Bonds of Fort Smith, Sage Bonds, Owen Fain, and Evan Fain, all of Cecil, Amy Brewer and husband Justin of Van Buren, and Jeff Littlefield and wife Dorie of Cabot; his great-grandchildren, Reeve and Rhett Haney of Alma and Parker and Jones Littlefield of Cabot.
Pallbearers are his grandsons, Dillon Bonds, Owen Fain, Evan Fain, Derrick Haney, Jeff Littlefield, and Justin Brewer.
Honorary pallbearers are his granddaughters, Harlee Haney, Kalli Bonds, Jaci Bonds, Sage Bonds, Amy Brewer, Dorie Littlefiled, and Sierra Bonds.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
