Israel Ortiz Vega, who resided in Fort Smith, died Monday, November 25, 2019, at Baptist Health in Fort Smith. He was born May 5, 1967, in San Salvador. He was 52 years old.

Israel was a mechanic.

He is survived by four sons, Omar Vega, Gerardo Vega, David Vega, and William Vega; his fiancée, Carolina Calderon of Fort Smith; his father and mother, Arturo Vega and Marta Ortiz; one grandson, Santiago.

A family held memorial service will be held at a later date. Details will be posted very soon.
