Irene Dail Merrill, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, died Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born July 28, 1943, in San Diego, California, to the late Archie Millard and Verna Blackwood Millard. She was 77 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Gene Merrill.

Irene was a homemaker and member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 12th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 13th, at Cherokee Municipal Cemetery in Alfalfa County in Cherokee, Oklahoma, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by her children, Scott Merrill and wife Natasha of Charleston and Heidi Marie Merrill of San Diego, California; two brothers, Alvin Millard and Frederick Millard, both of San Diego, California; a sister, Linda Millard of Charleston; four grandchildren, Alexandr Merrill, Aaron Merrill, Taylor Struhar, and Steven Struhar.

The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time on Friday morning.
