Inez Elkins, who resided near Subiaco, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at her home. She was born September 28, 1935, in Texarkana, Texas, to the late John Isaac Smith and Ola (McKee) Smith. She was 82 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Gordon Elkins, Sr.; a son, Charles Gordon Elkins, Jr.; and two brothers, Howard Smith and Charlie Smith.

Inez was a homemaker.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 31st, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

She is survived by a son, John David Elkins and Sylvia of Subiaco; a sister, Dorothy Byrd of Texarkana, Texas; four grandchildren, Chad Elkins and wife Banita, Chase Elkins and wife Amber, Adam Elkins and wife Jocelyn, and Travis Elkins; eight great-grandchildren, Belle, Anna, Russell, Savannah, Samuel, Trey, Jaron, and Alex; and numerous nieces & nephews.
