Ila Mae (Wilson) O'Neal, age 85, of Lexington, Texas, passed away peacefully at Country Care Plex in Giddings, Texas on Monday, January 18, 2010. A native of Franklin County, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Herbert C. Wilson and Nettie O. (Codington) Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Cleveland "Bill" Wilson and sister Lila Foster.

Ila was a wonderful mother to her three children and caring wife to her husband. She worked throughout her life in the food service and furniture industry to help support the family. She had many friends and was always ready to lend a helping hand.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Russell Leslie O'Neal; two daughters, Nettie Eileen Merryman & husband John of McDade, Texas and Leslie Kay Brazzil & husband Mark of The Woodlands, Texas and one son Russell Eric O'Neal & wife Cheryl of Wood Lake, Texas; granddaughters, Amiee O'Neal, April O'Neal, and grandsons, Austin O'Neal, Will Brazzil and Caleb Brazzil and seven great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 27th, at the Mount Hope Cemetery, northeast of Branch, under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 27th at the funeral home.
