Obituary
Howard Wayne Smithson, who resided in Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born August 3, 1950, in Charleston, Arkansas to the late Johnny Howard Smithson and Evelyn Rita (Martin) Smithson. He was 66 years old.
Howard was a truck driver. He served in the U.S. Air Force and he was of the Methodist faith.
Memorial service will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 14th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Cremation and services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by two sons, Steve Smithson and wife Christie of Ratcliff and Greg Smithson of Lavaca; one sister, Nina Price of Fort Smith; two brothers, Leonard Smithson of Lavaca and Wesley Smithson and wife Michelle of Rogers; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will visit with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday night at the funeral home.
