Obituary

Hershel Lee Waggoner, who resided near Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011 from a tree cutting accident on his farm in Franklin County. He was born October 2, 1938 in Charleston to the late Isaac H. Waggoner and Amie O. (Corbell) Waggoner. He was 72 years old.

He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Waggoner; one son, Dale Waggoner and three brothers, Donald Ray, John "J.I." and Marvin Waggoner.

Hershel was a retired supervisor for Fulton Sanitation, Inc. in Rogers, Arkansas. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of Rogers Lodge #460 in Rogers, and was of the Pentecostal faith. He loved his dog and companian, Daisy Mae. He enjoyed farming and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is suvived by his wife, Janel of the home; two sons, Johnny Lee Waggoner and wife Katherine of Lavaca and Jerry Waggoner and wife Tina of Rogers; four sisters, Dorothy Raney of Fort Smith, Zada Freeman and husband Bill of Coweta, Oklahoma, Thelma Aikin and husband Roy of Kibler, and Sue Jetton and husband Zolan of Charleston; one brother, Marion Waggoner of Charleston; one granddaughter, BreeAnn Waggoner and two grandsons, Zach Elliott and wife Heather and Grant Elliott and wife Christa; three great grandchildren, Courtny, Scarlett, and Hayden Elliott, and numerous nieces & nephews.

A memorial service will take place at a later date.
