With deep sorrow and boundless love, we announce the passing of our precious Heather, who peacefully left this world on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the age of 36 years old, two days shy of her 37th birthday. She was born on May 27, 1988, to Harold Dean Conner and Brenda Kay Case, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Heather was born with special needs and taught everyone unconditional love, patience, and the true meaning of joy. Her smile, infectious laughter, and courageous spirit brought light to everyone who knew her. She faced life's challenges with strength and grace that inspired many. Heather adored activities at Greenhurst Nursing Center, listening to music, being read to, and spending time with her best buddy, Edgar.

She is survived by her mother, Brenda Sousa of Charleston; her father, Dean Conner of Charleston; a brother, Dean Conner, Jr of Charleston; a sister, Connie Lachowsky (Kurt, Sr.) of Charleston; two nieces, Ellis Kate Lachowsky and Gracelynn May Conner; a nephew, Kurt Lachowsky, Jr.; her maternal grandmother, Donna Case of Branch; and a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and caregivers.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29th at Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston.

The family would like to express deep gratitude to the Schaffer family and all the employees of Greenhurst Nursing Center for 28 years of compassionate care and support through this journey.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked donations be made to Director of Activities at Greenhurst Nursing Center, attn: Meeka Harrison.

Cremation arrangements and services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
