Hazel Evelyn Young, who resided near Paris, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born February 13, 1929, in Paris to the late Wright Ramsey and Dessie (Rice) Ramsey. She was 89 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Newt Alexander Young.

Hazel was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God in Paris.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 30th, at First Assembly of God in Paris, with the Rev. Kenny Maness officiating. Burial will be at Shaw Cemetery, located in the Reveille Valley near the Driggs Community, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Green and husband Cecil of Paris and Lisa Homer and husband Joey of Subiaco; five sons, James Young and wife Kelly of Paris, David Young and wife Carolyn of Paris, Steve Young and wife Terri of Lavaca, Earl Young and wife Sheila of Paris and John Young and wife Kim of Paris; one sister, Sue Clem of Lavaca; one brother, Charles Ramsey of Paris; (21) grandchildren, (33) great-grandchildren, and (2) great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James, David, Steve, Earl, and John Young, and Joey Homer.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 29th, at the funeral home.
