Harold J. Slusher, of Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022, at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston. He was born on May 6, 1928, in Cook County, Illinois to the late Harold R. Slusher and Margarite (Kennedy) Slusher. He was 93 years old. He was preceded in death by his wives, Donna Mae (Neal) Slusher and Pauline Slusher.
He was in the navy during the Korean conflict on the U.S.S. Diachenko and was a retired pipe fitter from Local 29 and Local 155 in Little Rock. He worked on the Nuclear 1 and 2 plants in Arkansas, AES Plant in Shady Point, numerous others around the U.S., Mercy Hospital and also worked as a cross country truck driver.
He is survived by a son, Brad Slusher of Charleston; two daughters, Sherrie Blair of Fort Smith, Teresa Slusher of Spokane, Washington; a step-son, Dale Conley of Fort Smith; a step-daughter, Cheryl Williams of Pocola, Oklahoma; four brothers, Keith, Gary and Ronnie Slusher all of Arizona, and Mark Slusher; a sister, Mary Lou of Arizona; three grandchildren, Quenna, Airic and Reo; and three great-grandchildren.
