Harold Dean "Jack" Canady, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011 at his home. He was born March 29, 1945 in Paris to the late Ransom Canady and Martha (Evans) Canady. He was 66 years old.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Lenis Canady and one sister, Katie Lyons.
Jack was a retired Director of Physical Plant at Westark Community College in Fort Smith, served in the National Guard Reserves, and attended Paris Christian Church.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012 at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris. Burial will be at Baxley Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by his companion, Glenda Knight of the home; two daughters, Melissa Haney and husband Mike of Ratcliff and Julie McClain and husband Randy of Ozark; one son, Christopher Powell of Fort Smith; one brother, Doil Canady of Johnson City, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Patrick Haney, Hope Noyes, Maggie Haney, Faith Noyes, and Miss Olivia Haney.
Pallbearers will be Mike Haney, Jim Parker, Randy McClain, Lucius Corbette, Scott Aldrich, and Mike Arnold.
Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday night at the funeral home in Paris.
