Obituary

Harley Featherston, Jr. resided in Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born August 29, 1940 in Fort Smith to the late Harley Featherston, Sr. and Jean (Fields) Featherston. He was 70 years old.

Harley was a retired truck driver for SSI Trucking in Memphis, Tennessee.

He is survived by his wife Alice, of the home; two daughters, Tami Barron & husband Yogi of Lavaca and Shelly Rodriquez & husband Mario of Modesto, California; one son, Cody Featherston & wife Linda of Sedro-Woolley, Washington; one step-daughter, Renee Henning of Charleston; one step-son, Jimmy Sargent & wife Tresa of Charleston; four sisters, Mary Brown, Carolyn Nichols, Mitzi Sapp, and Sandy Pullen, all of Fort Smith; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

The body was cremated under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 24th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Rev. Jeff Holland officiating. Burial of cremains will be at Parks Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
