Gwynda Joy Farnam, who resided in Delaware, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 in Paris. She was born December 20, 1937 in Andrews, Texas to the late James L. Brumley and Ella Mae (Gates) Brumley. She was 74 years old.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Calvin C. Farnam.
Gwynda was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Delaware.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 30th at First Baptist Church in Delaware, with Rev. Wylie Jones officiating. Burial will be at Elizabeth Hall Cemetery in New Blaine, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
She is survived by four daughters, Jackie Collier of Paris, Shirley Jones of Mt. Magazine, Barbara Andrews and husband Roger of Atkins, and Kathy Childress of Houston, Arkansas; two sons, Dale Truett of Paris and Michael Farnam and wife Tammy of Perryville; three sisters, Norma Weaver of Jonesboro, Texas, Mary Jernigan and Sue McCown, both of San Antonio, Texas; (14) grandchildren and (20) great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Nicholas, Brandon Nicholas, Rickey Faldon, Michael Farnam, Edwin Hesslen, and Kip Hice.
Honorary pallbearers will be Trevor Nicholas and Jody Faldon.
Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the First Baptist Church in Delaware.
