Obituary

Gwendol Randal Heathcott, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 at his home. He was born November 22, 1926 in Logan County to the late Herman Alfred Heathcott and Vivian (Biggs) Heathcott. He was 84 years old.

He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Dolores (Mabry) Heathcott.

Gwendol was a retired inspector for Rheem Manufacturing in Fort Smith. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and a Army veteran of the Korean War. He was active in the Charleston Senior Citizens Center, member of the American Legion, and attended the First Free Will Baptist Church in Charleston.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 11th at the Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Interment will be at McKendree Cemetery, north of Subiaco, "With Military Honors" under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

Officiating the service will be Rev. Jeff Holland and Rev. Jackie Brown.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Voisy Heathcott of the home; two daughters, Janis Roper and husband Ronnie of Charleston and Marilyn Denton and husband Steve of Siloam Springs; two sons, James Mullenax and wife Charlene and Mark Mullenax and wife Gayle, both of Conway; one sister, Beatrice Butler of Santa Barbara, California; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Nick Roper, Zac Denton, Clay, Skip, and Tony Mullenax, and Landon Green.

Family will visit with friends 5:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
