Obituary

Glenda Elizabeth Ferguson, who resided in Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016, at her home. She was born September 27, 1954, in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Floyd and Sadie (Jones) Green. She was almost 62 years old. She was also preceded in death by her adopted parents, Harley and Lena Maude (Sellars) Wood; one brother, Jimmy Green Johnson; her half-brother, Jeff Worley; and one sister, Patricia Green.

Glenda was a homemaker. She previously worked at Poultry Specialties, Inc. in Van Buren and she worked at Fort Chaffee. Glenda touched many lives in her 62 years and she had a kind and forgiving heart. She always found joy in family and friendship and was quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was loved my many and will be dearly missed. Glenda was of the Methodist faith.

Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1st, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Andrew Kjorlaug officiating. Burial of cremains, at a later date, will be at Graves Cemetery, located near Delaware in Logan County.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Ferguson; one daughter, Natalie Cadena of Charleston; two sons, Jeremy Kengla and wife Audrey of Charleston and Chris Kengla of Mansfield; four sisters, Gail Kerns of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Darlene Noblett of Dardanelle, Lisa Butler of Loris, SC and Patty Zaszczurynski of Lublis, Wisconsin; eight brothers, Gary Green of Walls, Mississippi, Danny Moore of Little Rock, Dennis Green of Madill, Oklahoma, and Marty Meyer of Palahatchie, Mississippi, Danny Green of Chicago, Illinois, Paul Green of Donithan, Missouri, Floyd Green of Adams, Wisconsin and Irvin Green of Martin, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Alexandria and Jeremiah Cadena and Hunter and Jayna Kengla.
