Georgia Lee Franklin, 82, of Charleston, died Thursday, May 8, 2008, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born May 20, 1925, in Swink, Colorado, to the late George Thatcher and Anna Wilson Thatcker. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Swink, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her first husband, O.J. Wright; second husband, Deward Franklin; and two sisters, Betty Goldsberry and Etta Weaver.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol Wright of Clovis, CA; two sons, Richard Wright of Kerman, CA, and Don Wright Sr. of Charleston; one sister, Opal Cromwell of Kansas; one brother, Bill Thatcher of Swink, Colorado; ten grandchildren and thirty-five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Her body was cremated under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
